The event is sanctioned by the American Sambo Association and competitors from all disciplines are encouraged to attend. Rules are great for BJJ, Judo, Wresting, Grapplers. All are welcomeEven if you are not competing, come on out, watch the event and learn more about Sambo. We are working to advance the knowledge and practice of Sambo within the state of Texas, so let’s give the American Sambo Association another BIG Texas welcome!

For this tournament, there will be both Kurtka (jacket) and No-Gi Divisions. The American Freestyle Sambo Rules will apply for all divisions-see the Rules/Divisions link above for more details.

Winners and competitors who place will get medals and points standing with the American Sambo Association. In addition to medal for first, second, and third place finishes, winners for Best Throw, Fastest Submission and Best Overall Match in the Kurtka Division will be awarded with custom-made tactical fighting knives from Harris Knives with custom made leather sheaths by hearn leather and Jewel.

COMPETITOR PRICING

Early registration begins May 1, 2011 and runs until one week before the event, July 22, 2011 at midnight.  One division is $50. Additional divisions are $20 each.

Regular registration (July 23rd until August 4th): One division is $60. Additional divisions are $30 each.

NOTE:  Pre-registration ONLY.  No registration at the door.

SCHEDULE

Weigh-ins start promptly at 9:00AM – 10:30AM Central Standard Time.  Freestyle Sambo Divisions will start at 11:00AM sharp.  No-Gi Grappling Divisions will begin once Sambo Divisions are complete.

SPECTATOR TICKETS

Spectator ticket costs $10 per person. Kids under 5 years old and younger are FREE!
