TXMMA Network

The TXMMA Network is intended to help promote and share traffic with native home-grown sites focusing on the state’s MMA scene. Like TXMMA itself, the network started out as an idea, and it’s going to continue to formalize, grow, and develop. The intents are simple:

- TXMMA was, and still is, a grassroots site created by the hands and initiative of people in the state MMA scene. The TXMMA Network is intended to support and drive traffic to similar sites around the state that are grassroots efforts helping the scene.

- The Texas scene grew in part due to its ability to communicate, and TXMMA was part of that process. For the scene to grow even further, it will be necessary to make every local MMA site and every site covering the sport in the state as successful and known as possible. I won’t be satisfied until Texas knocks off California as the busiest state for combat sports events in the nation. We’re already #2, and we have 3 of the ten largest cities in the US – it’s possible.

- The TXMMA Network is not going to support those sites that are commercial, or those sites that cover MMA in the state but are actually part of an out of state-based network of state MMA sites seeking to make money and gain influence off the backs of people in Texas.

While we celebrate the spirit of those committed to the sport, we will never support sites that are driven primarily by profiting off the scene, or those sites that are owned by out of state interests looking to make a buck off of Texas and expand their network of websites.

Instead, the TXMMA Network supports efforts that people in Texas built with their own two hands and initiative, because they wanted to make a difference in their local scene.

The sites below are examples of that. Support them. And if you have a local website supporting the scene and are interested in becoming part of the Network, email me. And if you’re thinking about creating one – get out there and do it. TXMMA started as an idea between two people, and the decision to make it happen – and so we did. You can do the same – the more support you give the sport, the more it will grow and flourish.

Good luck, and thanks for supporting the Texas fight scene.

Best regards,

Paul Erickson
