The TRUTH Crosstrainer MMA / Grappling Glove
IMPORTANT: CHECK SIZING CHART BELOW BEFORE ORDERING
To complement the
regular-style glove that is offered in the TRUTH line, this glove offers a bit
more protection to allow more versatility for those who need it. Higher shock absorption in the main pad
helps protect your hands against harder impacts.
Whereas
the standard glove has proven its worth time and time again as an outstanding
value in a standard 4oz. glove in both training and competition, this glove
offers a step up in protection.
Again,
for those looking to hit the heavybag a lot, don’t be fooled by hype, no MMA-style
glove can ever protect your hands as well as an actual set of bag gloves or
boxing gloves. Buy a decent set of
gloves from Ringside, CSI, Title, or other reputable maker of boxing gloves to
use when you’re really going to lay into the heavybag regularly with
power.
Otherwise, for a versatile glove with higher protection, that you can use
for mixing up grappling and a moderate amount of striking, without the bulk and
range of motion restrictions of larger “training” MMA gloves and without the
inflated prices of the big brands, this glove fits the bill while still being
legal for competition.
-
Segmented padding, and a main pad combining a higher-shock-absorbing
combination of two interlocked types of foam. We don’t need to call it
anything special , there are no secret formulas or special proprietary foams
in the business, just basic variations of PVC, EVA, and latex foam. The pad in
this glove is a reasonable compromise between size and shock absorption, and
provides significantly higher shock absorption than a standard
glove.
-
Open palm design, with a long wristwrap and full-width Velcro contact area for solid
hookup and wrist support with or without gauze or tape
underneath.
-
Fingertip piping for protection against skin/eye abrasions from exposed
seams.

Instructions: These sizes are a
guideline, based on measuring the circumference of your hand at the first
knuckle. This is the knuckle at the end of your hand where your fingers
begin. You can take a piece of string or paper to measure the distance all
the way around at the first knuckle. For reference, a standard business
card is 3.5 inches long. Also keep in mind that like all leather products
there is a small amount of stretch that occurs during the break-in
process.
