Latest victory makes two in a row for Pasadena-based Trujillo
PASADENA, TX – Southeast Houston-based veteran Rey Trujillo recently traveled to Lake Charles, Louisiana for a title fight in the VFA promotion. The hard-hitter faced fellow veteran JC Pennington in the night’s main event for the featherweight title, winning by unanimous decision after a twenty-five minute slugfest. With 74 fights between them, the vets must have pulled every trick in the book but it was Trujillo coming out on top to win his second fight in a row to go on with his latest run at glory.
Also notably competing out of the Houston area in this one was another Southeast Houstonian in Edward Longoria, who fell by unanimous decision to Louisianan Cody James.
